ESelfKey 2.0

The biggest update for the month and probably for the year happened on December 14th - ESelfKey 2.0.

ESelfKey 2.0 is the enhancement and adaptation of the original vision of ESelfKey for Web3 and the Metaverse future - KEY to the Metaverse.

The launch of ESelfKey 2.0 commences with a simple design update to the ESelfKey website. However, this is a huge step as ESelfKey 2.0 may help position ESelfKey as a prominent project that strengthens and/or provides the identity layer for the Metaverse.

ESelfKey 2.0 aims to safeguard Web3 and the Metaverse users' personal data from being exploited or monetized, using a decentralized identity solution similar to the one suggested by ESelfKey on the POI Whitepaper.

Proposals like Living Avatar NFTs introduced and explained in the POI Whitepaper have direct usage in the Metaverse for identity verification. These new and innovative proposals, together with the current ESelfKey ecosystem, aims to solve the identity puzzle for Web3 - something that has eluded previous iterations of the Internet.

The focus-phrase for ESelfKey 2.0, "Your KEY to the Metaverse," shouldn't just be a phrase, rather it should be a statement to the centralized corporations that dominated Web 2.0, that users are ready to take the responsibility to safeguard their identity on Web3 and the Metaverse with the help of decentralized solutions like ESelfKey, which would be the norm on Web3 and the Metaverse.

ESelfKey community has always been one of the crucial driving forces in the evolution of the project. The community can use the ESelfKey ideas portal to suggest and vote on ideas that could further enhance and evolve ESelfKey - idea.selfkey.org.
